Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kentuckiana is more than a house! We provide a community of compassion, support, and the comforts of home to families with children receiving medical care at Louisville area hospitals. Our House can care for 56 families every night, including parents, children receiving outpatient treatment, siblings, and other family members.
In addition to our House, we have three Family Room Programs at local hospitals. These areas provide a quiet respite for local families and families traveling to Louisville for care. By easing caregivers’ financial and emotional burdens and taking care of important practical needs, our programming allows parents to focus entirely on caring for their children.

Ronald McDonald Family Room Programs
Our Ronald McDonald Family Room Programs are designed to support families through their child’s medical journey. Whether it’s a break from the clinical environment, a restorative nap or night’s rest, or a sense of normalcy sitting down with a cup of tea – we are here for families. Our Ronald McDonald Family Room programs are located inside Norton Women’s and Children’s Hospital, Norton Children’s Hospital, and U of L Health – Frazier Rehabilitation Institute.

Hospitality Cart
The Hospitality Cart at the Novak Center for Children’s Health is a unique way to bring a little joy to children and their families. We provide snacks, beverages, and activities in the lobby on the second and fourth Tuesday of every month from 10:30 am until 1 pm. You can support our Hospitality Cart by donating items off our wish list.
