Ronald McDonald House Charities has been McDonald’s “charity of choice” since 1974.
Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kentuckiana is a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation, part of a global organization serving children in 58 countries and regions. To learn more about the global impact of RMHC, please visit www.rmhc.org. McDonald’s is our largest corporate donor. Portions of our annual operating costs for Ronald McDonald House and Ronald McDonald Family Rooms are graciously funded by McDonald’s owners/operators from the Kentuckiana region. The remainder of our annual operating income is generated by the generosity of individual and additional corporate donors.
McDonald’s involvement extends beyond monetary support:
- McDonald’s partners with RMHCK for promotional and fundraising events.
- McDonald’s employees are dedicated volunteers.
- Owners/Operators serve on RMHCK’s Board of Directors.
- RMHC donation boxes hosted in our local restaurants are a large source of ongoing fundraising.
Round-up
Round-Up for RMHC is a new and easy way to give back when visiting McDonald’s. Use the kiosk or ask to Round-Up for RMHC when placing your next order.
When you Round-Up for RMHC at your local McDonald’s, you’ll leave with more than a meal. No change required! You’ll leave knowing you helped provide overnight stays to RMHCK families caring for their children receiving medical treatment at Louisville-area hospitals.
RMHC Donation Boxes
Have spare change? You can still donate through McDonald’s the traditional way by using the Donation Boxes at the cash registers and drive-thru.
Every time you drop your change or round-up your order, you are helping RMHCK provide a “home-away-from-home” for families of seriously ill children. Please continue to make a change by giving your change. Thank you for supporting the House and tell your friends!
RMHCK Expansion
McDonald’s Restaurants of Kentuckiana Owner/Operators were the first to pledge a contribution towards our current expansion project. Their $1 million pledge kick-started our capital campaign and Owner/Operators have been on the front lines helping to raise the additional funding needed to expand our House from 36 to 56 guestrooms. See our expansion page for more information.
