Community Fundraising
Spread Hope in Your Community.
Hosting your own fundraiser is a great way to get involved in your community and to support the families who stay at RMHCK!
Individuals, local organizations, community groups, schools, and businesses play an important role in keeping children and families together. Whether you decide to host an in-person fundraising event, peer-to-peer fundraiser, or collect goods to donate to our House, your support makes a difference.
There are many ways to get your community involved, find the one that works best for you!
Host a Fundraising Event
Community fundraising events can range from bake sales, dress-down days, car washes, and sporting events to parties and store promotions – be creative and organize an activity that is personal to you!
Local businesses can also show support by donating a portion of proceeds from a sale or special event or set out branded collection boxes next to cash registers.
Host a Peer-to-Peer Fundraiser
Celebrate your birthday or wedding, run a 5K, or honor the memory of a loved one by creating a peer-to-peer fundraiser to share with your community. Contact Dani Harper, Special Events Manager, at Dani@rmhck.org or 502.561.7653 to get started.
Facebook Fundraiser
Through the power of social media, you can keep families together by creating a Facebook fundraiser! Dedicate your birthday, anniversary, special event, or make a fundraiser to support Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kentuckiana. Facebook makes raising funds easy, exciting, and secure.
Wish List Drive
Organizing a Wish List donation drive at your workplace, church, or among friends? All items must be new and from a smoke-free environment for the health and safety of our guest families.
Frequently Asked Questions
Who can be a community fundraiser?
Anyone who wants to raise funds or collect items and create awareness on behalf of RMHCK.
What does it mean to be a community fundraiser?
Planning a fundraiser is a great way to give back to RMHCK on your own time and in your community. You or your group/organization are the sole planners, organizers, and managers of the event. We will, of course, be here to answer any questions you may have.
Why should I plan a fundraiser that benefits RMHCK?
Because of your time and the financial support you will raise, we will be able to meet our families’ needs by keeping them close while their child receives medical care.
“We planned the fundraiser because Ronald McDonald House Charities of Kentuckiana was there for us at a great time in need. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience while going through a difficult time. They took away a lot of the stresses such as meals, not having to travel, and giving us a place to stay. We are thankful for this charity.” – Aaron Harp Magic
Where can I host my event?
Fundraisers can be held anywhere – even online! It could be in your home, at your office, church, community center, or other location.
