28 Jun 2013 Golf Scramble Recap
From Christina Johnson: I am pleased to report that the 2013 RMHCK Golf Scramble presented by Republic Bank was a huge success! We had a beautiful day on the course at Hunting Creek and all of the golfers seemed to have a great time enjoying all we had to offer. Some of the perks included frozen margaritas provided by Taylor Enterprises, ice cream treats provided by Blue Bell and goodie bags filled with $25 Eddie Merlot’s gift cards, Pro V1 golf balls and other goodies for each player. Texas Roadhouse generously donated a delicious lunch and the country club prepared a very nice prime rib dinner that evening, so everyone was well fed and happy throughout the day.
The entire day ran very smoothly, thanks in large part to some wonderful community partners and as always, a crew of dedicated RMHCK volunteers who showed up ready and willing to help with whatever was needed.
Thanks to a very dedicated and hardworking planning committee, we sold all of our major sponsorships this year, had 30 teams golf and had 15 different companies participate at various levels as hole sponsors, which is the highest participation ever in the three year history of the event. We are still crunching numbers and calculating our expenses, but rough estimates show that before our expenses we raised over $57,000!
Please see below for some listings of our wonderful sponsors and volunteers (For a complete listing of participating teams and hole sponsors you can visit https://rmhc-kentuckiana.org/events/golf-scramble/). We sincerely appreciate all of the support we received for this event. It is a great time and I highly encourage you to watch your newsletter for the release of the 2014 date so you can be sure to mark your calendar. I promise it is a lot of fun for everyone involved.
