As a volunteer for Ronald McDonald House Charities, you’re the heart and soul of our house. Whether it’s turning over rooms, cooking and serving meals, or washing laundry, we can’t do it without you.
Today, we have more than 100 volunteers serving at our House and Family Rooms, multiple groups who prepare meals almost every night, and countless individuals who give their time to keep our facilities clean, safe, and comfortable. Volunteers like you truly make a difference in the lives of our families.

Can I volunteer if I am under the age of 18?
Yes! We have volunteer opportunities at our Ronald McDonald House for ages 6-17. These are listed under our one-time volunteer opportunities, meaning you aren’t regularly scheduled to come in. If you are under the age of 15, you will need to be accompanied by an adult.
Can I volunteer for service hours?
Yes! We have a variety of volunteer options that can be done at our Ronald McDonald House or even your home. If you need someone to sign off on your hours, you can reach out to our Volunteer Coordinator.
Do you have opportunities for groups?
Yes! We love hosting groups. We have several opportunities at our Ronald McDonald House for groups. Check them out here. At this time, we can only accommodate groups of 15 people or less.
I don’t want to come Downtown to volunteer, are there opportunities for me?
Yes! If you’re over 18, we have volunteer opportunities at our Ronald McDonald Family Room located inside Norton Women’s and Children’s Hospital in St. Matthews. We also have things you can do in your own home. Check out some ideas here.
